Days of Mindfulness

Days of Mindfulness are opportunities for us to practice as a group for a day. Days of mindfulness are held in noble silence and provide wonderful opportunity to deepen our spiritual practice and connect with members of the sangha.

General Flow of a Day of Mindfulness

The exact format of a day of mindfulness depends on the host but generally the day follows this format

10:00 Sitting meditation
10:30 Walking meditation
11:00 Sitting meditation
11:30 Prepare lunch mindfully
12:00 Formal meal
1:00 Working meditation – could be working in the garden, washing dishes from lunch, sweeping
2:00 Dharma talk and discussion
3:00 Tea ceremony
4:00 Closing dedication

Please contact us for more information. We do request that you attend at least one weekly meditation before participating in a day of mindfulness.
