Meditation in the Tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh
“Be Yourself. Life is precious as it is. All the elements for your happiness are already here. There is no need to run, strive, search, or struggle. Just Be.” Thich Nhat Hanh

Weekly Meditation

Thursdays at the Quaker Meeting House, 1831 Fern Street.

The meditation begins at 7pm, please arrive a few minutes early so you have time to arrange your cushions and settle peacefully.

Flow of the Weekly Meditation

  • Evening begins at 7pm with a 30 minute sitting meditation
  • Walking meditation
  • Tea mediation
  • Dharma discussion - evening ends at 8:30

Cushions

The practice center does not have zabutons, we do have a small supply of cushions so please bring your own cushions if you have them.

Beginners

Please arrive 15 minutes early so one of sangha members can give you an introduction and help you get settled. Throughout the evening, the bell master will provide instruction on the flow of the evening – he or she will let you know when to stand, when to bow, when to do walking meditation, etc. So please don’t worry about not knowing the process for the evening, we will help you along the path.
